MONARCH BIBLE CAMP WILL NOT BE RUNNING THIS SUMMER 2025.

Sadly, and with our regrets, Monarch Bible Camp will not be running this summer (2025). Our Camp Director, Teresa Ward, suffered a stroke and will be unable to run camp this summer. Though the Lord has brought great healing and Teresa is doing a wonderful job of rehabilitation and making great gains, Teresa will need the next season to rest and recuperate. Please be praying for Teresa as she returns to full health. Please be praying for her loving husband Barrie who is caring for Teresa. And please be praying for the children who normally attend camp and the young adults who normally work as our summer missionaries, that the Lord will continue to draw them to Himself. Our hope and prayer for this season is that the body of Christ and local churches will keep summer ministry going in our place so that children can continue to hear the gospel and our young adults can continue to be discipled in their growing faith.

On behalf of Barrie & Teresa and the Monarch Bible Camp Board.

Minden

Monarch enjoys the privilege of renting space at the Minden Wildwater Preserve, a prime destination for kayak and canoe enthusiasts. The Minden Whitewater Preserve is a 100 acre park with trails adjacent to some of Canada's best whitewater rapids. Established over 30 years for park'n play kayaking and canoeing and to promote the sport of whitewater paddling – competitive and recreational. Campers enjoy being in the beautiful wooded setting, the opportunity to watch the boaters, the use of bike trails and so much more. Monarch has run camps in the Minden area, at 4 different locations for more than 35 years.

Coboconk

Thanks to the generosity of the Stacey Family, camp has been running on this property for over 30 years.  Across the road from the family’s private beach on Balsam Lake, Monarch has run a variety of camps at this location – Baseball Camp with Athletes in Action, Sports Camp, Art Camp, and our action packed Day Camp Program. The wide open field lends itself to cooperative and competitive games, archery, slack line, outdoor Chapel and so much more.  Campers get lots of fresh air and an outdoor based program. Currently we are running our Full Day Camp program, 9am-4pm.  Don’t worry, we do have indoor access in case of storms.

Haliburton Day Camp

Another long running camp at the United Church in Haliburton.  It is amazing what you can manage to run in a parking lot and a little green space! We run a full Program here with boats under the supervision of Lifeguards –when we can find them, Cub Cars, Archery, Bikes, Competitive and cooperative games.  Chapel with songs and Bible lesson in the sanctuary , Drama, Crafts, Board Games, Team Challenges and Water Games.  Laughing hard and being care free.

West Guilford

On a hill above the banks of the beautiful Pine Lake, the Camp is hosted by West Guilford Baptist Church.  Kids will experience an Activity period with their Team and 2 Activity periods that they get to choose. They will enjoy competitive and cooperative games, singing, Chapel, learning about God and having FUN!

Bolsover

Our newest location, started in 2021.  Hosted by  St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. These gracious hosts make everyone feel welcome and cared for.  From full use of the church and the grounds, to hosting Missionaries, to providing great snacks and assisting with marketing, Bolsover has been a welcomed addition to the Monarch roster. A private beach, ‘down the road’, has been available for our use.  Two large play areas give ample room for a variety of activities to run at the same time: archery, bikes, crafts and drama.  And of course, kids running hard, having fun, cheering and singing, and going home tired and loving camp.  Running  Chapel in the church is a wonderful way to build reverence.

Fenelon Falls Day Camp

On the outskirts of Fenelon Falls with beautiful views of a golf course, county side and Cameron Lake.  Hosted at Shiloh Christian Center. Another location where we have use of a church property, although this property is much larger.    Skits and Team competition, challenging activities, running hard, playing hard, tons of physical activity to wear kids out.  Praise and worship songs. Learning about God.  Making good friends.  Boating, Swim Lessons and Free Swim on Cameron Lake – under Lifeguard Supervision.
